Magic Lantern

The Magic Lantern summons a small glowing lantern that flies above the player, emitting dim light. The lantern will also expose treasure for up to 15 tiles from the lantern’s location, overlaying sparkles over nearby treasure. It is sold by the Skeleton Merchant during the night of a full moon.

Malaise

The Malaise is a yoyo that can be crafted with Demonite Bars, which only come from worlds generated with Corruption. It is slightly weaker than its Crimson counterpart, the Artery.

Its best Modifier is Godly.

Lunar Portal Staff

The Lunar Portal Staff is a Hardmode, post-Moon Lord summon weapon that summons a floating “portal”. The player cannot interact with it; it instead fires a continuous beam at enemies within its 60-tile range. The Lunar Portal Staff is a sentry-style minion, similar to the Frost Hydra, only lasting two minutes, remaining stationary, and not counting against the player’s minion capacity. The Lunar Portal Staff has a 1/9 chance (11.11%) of being dropped by the Moon Lord boss.

Its best Modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stats bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, Minions cannot deal critical hits. The only significant advantage a Mythical Lunar Portal Staff has over a Ruthless one is knockback.

Lunar Flare

The Lunar Flare is a Hardmode, post-Moon Lord magic weapon that summons three projectiles down from above per use. These projectiles appear as blue streaks, and create a small explosion on impact. They will pass through any blocks above the cursor, making it a much more viable option for combat in caves and in the Dungeon than similar projectile-summoning magic weapons. It has a 1/9 (11.11%) chance to be dropped by the Moon Lord.

Its best Modifier is Mythical.

Luminite Hamaxes

The Luminite Hamaxes are an endgame Axe/Hammer combo following the Hamaxes prior. The four types are the Solar Flare Hamaxe, the Vortex Hamaxe, the Nebula Hamaxe and the Stardust Hamaxe. All share the same stats.

They require Luminite and Lunar Fragments to craft, obtainable from the Moon Lord and Celestial Towers, respectively. They are the second strongest Hamaxes in the game, losing only at Axe power to The Axe. Their best Modifier is Legendary (or light for speed).

Luminite Pickaxes

Luminite Pickaxes are four endgame pickaxes. The four types are the Solar Flare Pickaxe, the Vortex Pickaxe, the Nebula Pickaxe and the Stardust Pickaxe. All types of Luminite pickaxes share the same stats.

These four pickaxes are the second-strongest mining tool in the game, each with 225% pickaxe power. The current strongest is the Laser Drill with 230% pickaxe power. They require Luminite and Lunar Fragments to craft, obtainable from the Moon Lord and Celestial Towers, respectively.

Their best Modifier is Light. While Legendary offers a wider array of improvements, most of these apply only to combat. Light offers a better speed boost, which is the only stat that affects mining, the primary role of pickaxes.

Luminite

image

Luminite is a Hardmode ore that drops exclusively from the Moon Lord, usually in stacks of 70-90 (90-110 in Expert Mode). It can be used to craft Luminite Bars, which can then be used to make a majority of end-game items, such as the Solar,Nebula, Vortex, and Stardust tools and armor.

Crafting all items requires 1088 Luminite. This means defeating the Moon Lord 13 - 16 times in normal mode, or 10 - 13 times in Expert Mode.

Last Prism

The Last Prism is a Hardmode, post-Moon Lord magic weapon that fires several beams of light that converge into one as it charges. It deals a massive amount of damage, but also consumes mana very quickly. The Last Prism has a 1/9 chance (11.11%) of being dropped by the Moon Lord.

The Last Prism projects 6 beams that deal individual damage as they begin to rotate out of the prism’s tip, then spin faster as they converge into one thick beam. This process takes approximately 4 seconds, each beam continuing to deal the weapon’s full listed damage. The fully-converged beam therefore deals 6 times the listed damage, for an output of 600 damage per hit. Like all piercing attacks, the weapon hits once every 0.1667 seconds or 10 game ticks. The mana cost will increase massively as the beam converges.

However, due to the high mana cost (12 mana 6 times per second when fully charged = 72 mana per second), players will struggle to maintain the beam for more than 5-6 seconds. A Mana Flower, Nebula armor, and a large supply of Super Mana Potions may be required for continuous use.

The Last Prism cannot deal any knockback.

Its best Modifier is Demonic or Mystic.

Laser Machinegun

The Laser Machinegun is a Hardmode magic weapon that has an 11.11% chance to be dropped by the Martian Saucerfrom the Martian Madness event. Before reaching full firing speed, the Laser Machinegun will spin up for roughly 2 seconds until it reaches its maximum fire rate. Like the Razorpine, the projectiles do not pierce through enemies.

Its best Modifier is Mythical.

Laser Drill

The Laser Drill is a Hardmode, post-Golem drill that is dropped by the Martian Saucer during the Martian Madness event. It produces a beam that extends up to ten tiles in length. It also boasts the highest mining power of any Pickaxe or Drill in the entire game at 230%.

Its best Modifier is Godly, as drills cannot receive any modifiers that affect speed.

Kraken

The Kraken is a Hardmode yoyo that has a 1 in 200 drop chance from any enemy inside the post-Plantera Dungeon. It has a throwing length of 25 blocks. It is the third highest tier yoyo there currently is in the game. It is one of the few yoyos that is able to be thrown and stay in the air forever. When it is thrown out, there is a visible motion blur that most other yoyos do not have.

Its best Modifier is Godly.

Javelin

The Javelin is a consumable throwable weapon. It can pierce up to three enemies and has a long range, flying straight for approximately thirty-six blocks before dropping abruptly. Javelins have no chance of dropping itself after impacting a block or hitting an enemy. It is only dropped by Hoplites found in the Marble Biome.

Hellwing Bow

The Hellwing Bow is a bow acquired from Shadow Chests found in the Underworld. It converts normal Wooden Arrows into flaming bat projectiles that travel in a semi-straight line and can pierce infinitely. This is countered by the fact that the bats are fired in a ~30° cone and therefore can be very inaccurate at long distances. Other arrows won’t lose their special properties, but will inherit the inaccuracy of the bow.

Its best Modifier is Unreal.

Happy Grenade

Happy Grenades are thrown explosive items that inflict half the damage of an ordinary Grenade, and display a confetti effect. They must be acquired initially from a drop by the Party Girl when she is killed, although she only has ¼ (25%) chance of dropping any each time she is killed. The Party Girl will sell them from her regular inventory when she respawns and the player has at least one Happy Grenade in their own inventory.

Greedy Ring

The Greedy Ring is a Hardmode accessory that combines the Discount Card's 20% discount off of any NPC shop, the Lucky Coin’s chance of spawning a coin whenever an enemy is hit, and the Gold Ring’s increased coin pickup range. Having this will make coin farms more efficient if you want to buy expensive items, or if one is in need of coins to use as ammunition for the Coin Gun.

Flower Boots

Flower Boots are an uncommon accessory that cause flowers to grow when the player walks on Grass. These flowers are the same as the tall weeds that would normally grow on grass blocks, meaning that they can be broken to spawn Seeds and Bait creatures, as well as harvested with a Sickle to produce Hay. Flower Boots will not cause any growth on Corrupted, Crimson or Mushroom grass.

Flower Boots can occasionally be found in Jungle Shrine chests or Living Mahogany Tree chests.

  • Flower Boots can spawn Strange Plants. As such they can be used for quick(er) farming.
  • When combined with the Sickle, they can be used to quickly generate large amounts of hay for quick building.
  • It may be useful to set up a dart trap at floor level. This way, as you run on grass, it will be broken, but dye plants and Strange Plants will not.
  • The Flower Boots can also be very effective for farming critters such as Worms and Grasshoppers, thus, making money is easy, since Gold Worms and Grasshoppers often appear. If used on Jungle grass, it will be effective for farming jungle grass seeds and the jungle critters such as Buggy, Sluggy, and Grubby.

Flesh Knuckles

Flesh Knuckles are a Hardmode accessory. In addition to increasing the player’s Defense by 7, the largest increase of any accessory, Flesh Knuckles also increase the odds that an enemy will target the wearer over other players.

Flesh Knuckles have a 1 in 5 (20%) chance to be dropped by Crimson Mimics.

Fossil Armor

The Fossil Armor is a pre-Hardmode armor. It has a lower class amount of defense, but increases thrown item velocity and damage significantly. In addition, wearing the full set grants a 50% chance to not consume thrown items (this does not include bombs and dynamite). This makes Fossil Armor great for using Bone Javelins, Bone Throwing Knives, and other thrown weapons. The Fossil Armor set is made using Sturdy Fossils, which have a chance to be dropped from putting Desert Fossils in the Extractinator.

Exotic Scimitar

The Exotic Scimitar is a melee weapon that has a 12.5% chance of being dropped from the Dye Trader. It is considered to be a broadsword and will therefore swing overhead.

Its best Modifier is Legendary.

Electrosphere Launcher

The Electrosphere Launcher is a Hardmode, post-Golem launcher that fires rockets to your cursor, then forms an energy-emanating ball of constant damage for approximately 8 seconds. An infinite amount of electrospheres can be summoned but they cannot overlap. It is very good for mowing down hordes of enemies in events in which mobs group together, or stationary opponents. It is very bad against quick moving enemies like most bosses, however.

The Electrosphere Launcher has an 11.11% (1/9) chance to be dropped by the Martian Saucer during the Martian Madness event.

Its best Modifier is Unreal.
